The IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal Certification course is approved by the California BVNPT for licensed vocational nurses. Students completing the course will receive certification in IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal and may incorporate this training within their scope of practice.

Program Outcomes
Upon completion of this Program, students will be able to: 1. Initiate peripheral intravenous access and fluid and/or blood administration safely. 2. Initiate venipuncture and specimen draw safely and accurately.
1. Obtain a minimum of 70% on total of quizzes and exams. 2.Student will demonstrate 3 individually supervised successful venipunctures and 3 individually supervised placement of venous access devices and initiation of fluids.
