MAINTENANCE AND LIGHT REPAIR TECHNICIAN - Certificate of Achievement

2019 - 2020, 2020 - 2021, 2021 - 2022, 2022 - 2023, 2023 - 2024, 2024 - 2025

Consistent with NATEF (National Automotive Technician Education Foundation) organization, a Maintenance and Light Repair Technician Certificate would allow students to receive the minimum coursework and training in order to earn entry level placement in the automotive field. Completers of this certificate could find entry-level employment in most automotive repair facilities.

Program Outcomes
Demonstrate the necessary skill proficiency and the technical knowledge for success in the Automotive industry as evidenced by the continuation of NATEF Certification and completion of appropriate NATEF tasks for courses completed.
Students will successfully complete 95% of the P-1 (Performance Item 1) tasks, 80% of the P-2 tasks, and 50% of the P-3 tasks as outlined in the NATEF (National Automotive Technician Education Standards 2017) task list for each area in the 4 core areas (A1 Engine Repair, A4 Chassis and Suspension, A5 Brakes, A6 Electrical Systems.) Students will demonstrate academic proficiency in the core 4 areas (A1, A4, A5, A6)
